Osman Ayariga encourages young people to take advantage of the National Apprenticeship Program.

Osman Ayariga, the CEO of the National Youth Authority (NYA), has urged young Ghanaians to embrace the National Apprenticeship Program, which will soon be introduced, as a means of acquiring new skills and finding work.

He reiterated the Authority’s commitment to empowering young people via infrastructural development, vocational training, and capacity-building programs.

Speaking on Friday, March 14 at the UPSA Auditorium for the International young Empowerment Summit (IYES) Ghana 2025, Mr. Ayariga described important NYA programs designed to address young unemployment.

He emphasized that the organization is prepared to work with partners on initiatives that support its goal of giving young people the tools they need to succeed.

“All youth-related programs and partnerships that aim to empower our young people are welcome to apply to the Authority,” he said.

Mr. Ayariga outlined the NYA’s present initiatives, pointing up that youth centers are being built nationwide to act as training and mentoring facilities.

Additionally, he said that a future project will concentrate on offering hands-on technical and vocational training to guarantee that participants get skills necessary for a sustainable life.

He said, “This program will provide practical training to prepare young people for real-world opportunities.”

Mr. Ayariga further urged anyone who were inclined to assist the NYA’s efforts to volunteer for mentorship programs.

He emphasized the importance of mentoring and assistance in developing future leaders and called on seasoned workers and business executives to share their knowledge on youth development.
