The definitive list of nominees for the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) is scheduled to be announced this Saturday, March 15, 2025, marking the end of weeks of anticipation for music fans and industry professionals across.
To give fans a front-row seat to witness which of their favorite artists and groups have won a place on this year’s prestigious nominations list, the big reveal will be streamed concurrently on the Ghana Music Awards’ official social media channels and televised live on TV3.
The formal opening of the nominations for this year’s TGMA took place on January 21, 2025. For consideration, musicians and bands were asked to submit their works that were released between January 1 and December 31, 2024, which is the qualifying year. The deadline for submissions was February 16, 2025.
The famous awards scheme’s organizers, Charterhouse, said the response this year was tremendous. More than 130 musicians and bands from a wide range of genres and styles submitted more than 1,500 submissions.
A committed group of industry professionals, comprising seasoned artists, producers, and important stakeholders, took on the difficult work of thoroughly examining and screening each contribution beyond the deadline.
According to the organizers, the screening procedure was stringent and based on well-defined standards to guarantee that only the most exceptional and worthy applicants advanced.
The TGMA board and other prominent members of the music business reviewed and approved the final list of nominations after the review, ensuring an open and reliable selection procedure.
