Once upon a time, in the vibrant music scene of Ghana, there was a remarkable musician named Samini. Known for his infectious positivity and unwavering determination, Samini had risen to become an award-winning artist with a devoted fan base. Throughout his illustrious career, he had discovered a powerful mindset that propelled him to success: negativity could never affect him when he stepped on stage to perform.
As the hitmaker of the popular song “Linda,” Samini had graced numerous stages and entertained audiences worldwide. He was well aware that negativity existed in every aspect of life, including the entertainment industry. However, he firmly believed that allowing negativity to infiltrate his mind and spirit before a performance would only hinder his ability to deliver an outstanding show.
During a captivating interview with Kwame Dadzie on Twitter Spaces, Samini shared his perspective on the power of mindset. He revealed that the moment he took hold of the microphone and stepped onto the stage, he transcended into a realm where all his troubles faded away. According to Samini, the mind was a formidable weapon, and how it was used determined the outcome. “I have a creative box, and nothing negative goes in there. So when it’s time to prepare for a performance or studio recording, and I am in that box, whatever negativity is present has its barriers. It can’t affect me until I’ve completed my task,” he noted. “As an artiste, you sometimes long for change, something new, something spectacular. This way, even those who have attended one or two of your shows can experience a wow factor, ” he averred.
The talented musician, who also served as the former SRC president of GIMPA, acknowledged that everyone involved in a performance carried personal issues and concerns. However, once they stepped on stage, they collectively released all the negative energy and entered a state of ecstasy. It was a moment where the weight of the world lifted, and the pure joy of music took over.
When questioned about concerns regarding repetitive performances on different shows, Samini expressed his desire to introduce new dynamics and elements to his performances. He understood the importance of avoiding monotony and keeping his shows fresh and exciting for his fans. With his innovative spirit and dedication to his craft, Samini sought to continuously evolve and surprise his audience with captivating performances.
