Mfantsiman Girls will celebrate their 65th anniversary in style.

This Saturday, March 15, 2025, Mfantsiman Girls’ Senior High School will commemorate its 65th anniversary on the school grounds in Saltpond, Central Region, with a homecoming celebration, a speech, and a prize-giving ceremony.

The 2000-year group of the Mfantsiman Old Girls Association (MOGA) is hosting this year’s event, which is anticipated to draw more than 5,000 students and old girls.

The celebrations, which will take place from Friday, March 14 to Sunday, March 16, 2025, will include a career counseling and advice session, a candlelight parade, and a physical wellness fitness session.

The event’s high point is expected to be a spectacular durbar that dignitaries, former students, and present students will all attend. Additionally, pupils who performed very well in internal school exams and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will be recognized with an awards presentation.

A Thanksgiving service and an inter-house fundraising challenge to raise money for current school initiatives will be the highlights of the festivities.

The subject for this year, “Leveraging New Media Technology to Optimise Girl-Child Education,” emphasises how crucial it is to use technology to solve issues that prevent girls from receiving high-quality education, especially in underprivileged areas.

Mrs. Henrietta Opokua Amissah, MOGA’s National President, was upbeat about the events’ success and praised the Millennium Year Group (MOGA 2000) for their careful preparation and commitment to making it an unforgettable occasion.

Beatrice Dadson will serve as the chairperson, Petra Aba Asamoah, general manager of Oduma Solutions Limited, will be the guest speaker, and Ambassador Jane Gasu Aheto will be the guest of honor.
