Kudus and Kamaldeen contribute trophies, medals, and cash prizes during the 10th Sheikh Sharubutu Ramadan Cup.

In support of the 10th annual Sheikh Sharubutu Ramadan Cup football competition, which will be held in Accra this Saturday, April 19, 2025, Black Stars stars Mohammed Kudus and Kamaldeen Sulemana have donated jointly.

The West Ham and Southampton players gave the tournament’s organizers a trophy, medals, and GH¢5,000 in cash, which would be given to the competition’s victors.
In a statement, the well-known community tournament’s organizers conveyed their gratitude.

“We would like to thank the two players for their generous support in honor of the Eminent National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, who is the tournament’s Chief Patron and the reason it is named and organized under his auspices,” the organizers said.

At the conclusion of each Ramadan, young people from more than 30 Zongo communities come together for the Sheikh Sharubutu Ramadan Cup, a football competition that fosters harmony and peace while offering a national stage for Zongo football talent.

“Only former champions, founding communities, and communities with remarkable records in the tournament” will compete in the historic 10th edition, which organizers have called the “Champions Edition.”

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, 15 Zongo villages will battle for the trophy in the one-day gala held in Accra’s famous Kawukudi Park.

With a record three trophy lifts, Ashaiman, the reigning winners, continue to be the most successful team in the history of the competition.

Rashid Sumaila and Andre Ayew, who have also donated to the event in the past, are followed by Mohammed Kudus and Kamaldeen Sulemana.
