After a terrible incident that almost cost him his sight, renowned journalist Kofi Adomah Nwanwani made his first public comment.
He disclosed that, in spite of several medical interventions, he struggles to rest or sleep due to excruciating pain and a persistent headache.
“I would like to speak before anything occurs. With obvious emotion, he stated, “I need to speak up before anything happens, even though I’m in a lot of pain and my head hurts a lot.”
In December 2024, the presenter was hurt when gunpowder residue got into his eye during a musketry demonstration in Dormaa.
He even traveled to Dubai for treatment since he was determined to cover the festival despite the injury.
Kofi, however, bemoaned the abandonment of his people during his recuperation and said that certain traditional elders in Dormaa had tried to conceal the occurrence in order to save face.
“I didn’t think that Bono people would be the ones to do this to me,” he bemoaned.
Kofi praised his family and Ghanaians for their prayers and support, and he thanked God for sparing his life despite the hardships.
