East Legon fatal accident: Police confirm Salifu Amoako as driver of white Jaguar

It has been confirmed that the driver of the white Jaguar that crashed into a Honda Acura at East Legon in Accra last Saturday, and resulted in the death of two persons is called Salifu Amoako.

Salifu Amoako survived the accident and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital together with other surviving victims.

The Police in a statement dated October 14, 2024 named Salifu Amoako as the driver of the Jaguar and explained that investigations are still ongoing in the fatal accident that occurred on Saturday [October 12] on the Dzanie Ashie Street at East Legon in Accra.

Salifu Amoako is the son of Prophet Salifu Amoako of Alive Chapel International at Tesano in Accra.Reports suggest he is a minor but the police are yet to comment on that, except stating that investigations are still ongoing.One of the surviving victims has been treated and discharged from hospital.

The remains of the two female victims have been deposited at the morgue.

The whole accident involved seven people, four in the Jaguar and three in the Honda Acura.

In a CCTV footage shared on social media, the white Jaguar was seen speedily passing through a congested area and crashing into the Honda Acura from behind and a wooden electric pole.Wires from the pole fell on the Honda Acura and started a fire.

Two victims in the Acura, were trapped and burnt beyond recognition.
